here are some great tutorials.(click the word "here"). I suggest bookmarking the site. I find them great for reference. Also, go to deviant art & search for photoshop brushes.

There's promising work here, nice one

I'd reccomend doing some searches for tutorials on text, as there's a lot more that you can do with it, rather than it being plain and just placed on the top. I had to do this myself too, a few years ago and it really helped!
