GTA SA texture prob

I can't figure out why CJ and the peds are showing up in a yellowish color? Example below.

Right, first of all, have you tried installing any mods that change the characters appearance. This can sometimes cause a texture error similar to this.

Second, what are your system specs?

Thirdly, are you running the game in 16 bit or 32 bit color mode? Also, are the graphics set to high or low.... etc.

Fourthly, this part of the forum is for GTAIII, you want the SA part. But not to worry, it will be moved there.

GeForce FX 5500 256 mb video card
2.8 GHz processor
1.5 Gb memory

I tryed running it in both 16 and 32 bit color mode, and tryed high and low graphics resolution.

first thing, download the downgrader patch. the second version causes no end of problems, including many bugs when installing skins and models (mainly for cars).

next suggestion: uninstall the game, delete the whole San Andreas directory, then install it again.

if its still happening, i have a few questions for you. has it been happening since you first got the game or did it just suddenly appear? and if it suddenly appeared, do you remember if you made any changes to your PC around the time it started?

u need a better GFX card or download the latest driver for ur card. www.nvidia.com

To answer Flip, I already downloaded the downgrader patch and it didn't help, and it happened when I first bought the game. To answer blackhawk I already downloaded updated drivers, didn't help.

i had the same problem, i bought a new GFX card and it fixed it.

Yes, your graphics card seems to be a little outdated. Might i suggest you picking up a more up-to-date one?
