Problem with my display driver when playing this game

Whenever I play San Andreas, at some point I almost always get a "crash" to the desktop with a message saying: "Your ATI display driver is not responding and has been reset" or something like that and then asks me if I want to submit a crash report. Sometimes I can still continue the game, but sometimes the picture on my monitor will start flashing wildly until I reboot. It's a great game, but I am really getting sick of this. Can anyone help? Go to your local computer store. Tell them to check your computer's power supply. If you have over 100 space for the power supply to supply your comp., you should be okay to play but if you hav under that amount, then you might as well kiss GTA goodbye because you need enough power supply to play it.

Unplug any USB cables you don't need. Card readers, printer, scanner, etc. Turn off your case lights, fan lights, etc.

I really don't think this has anything to do with my power supply. I haven't had a problem like this with any other games.

I have also been experiencing random crashes which are a really frustrating problem, as I had gone around Los Santos spray painting over about 20 gang tags and now I have to do it all over again.

Well, here's what I did, since I started getting hard crashes while playing:
I installed 3 more fans on the side of my case and a slot fan right under my video card.
Yes, it hums, but it fixed the crashes. Damn heat.
