I prefer the Ga-Ga version. If anything, I feel like he stripped it down to the bare bones of unoriginality.
I'm not a big fan of the song in the first place, but at least it stands out from the crowd. He took what was there and turned it into a rock-ish campfire song.

The way he sings it doesn't suit the song. I think Gaga's version is much better. Some places it sounds good, but some places it just sounds a bit strange.
