I really haven’t gotten into the whole concert thing much. I went to a few a couple years back and all the yelling, people getting in the way and idiots that spill their drinks on me make me cranky, especially since I’m not much of a people person anyway. I’d rather just watch it on PPV and pause it when I need to piss.

Well, my greatest concerts were Gov't Mule in Hamburg, Germany, Roger Waters in Berlin, Riders On The Storm in Berlin or Rush in Frankfurt, Germany. They were all totally awesome and will forever remain in memories.

Any of the following have been great:
1. Feeling a bit of Pete Doherty's guitar during a babyshambles gig in which he threw the guitar into the crowd. (at Get Loaded in the Park)
2. Getting the drumsticks at The Paddingtons, also getting one of the set lists and also having the guitarist jump straight into me on the last song. (At ULU)
3. Having a little chat with Fyfe Dangerfield after a Guillemots gig at the astoria.
4. Getting the setlist from The Long Blondes.
5. Crowd surfing 7 times at MTV2 tour.
Hopefully more to come soon ...

Either: the first time I saw AFI, on the original Black Sails tour or hanging out with KMFDM after their shows. Tough call.

Being Against the stage right in front of Steve Vai, allowing me to take a pick off his guitar mid-song.
-or-
Crowdsurfing at Primus.

Best moment for me was the Styx "Kilroy" tour.
The arena got dark and quiet and a large movie screen played a movie showing events in a futuristic society.
The kicker was when the robot took off its head to reveal it was Kilroy inside. At teh exact same moment and perfectly synchronized with the screen the lights on stage came up slowly as the movie screen faded out and it showed Dennis DeYoung standing there taking the robots head again perfectly synchonized with the movie. Was awesome to see.
Second best is any of the Blue Oyster Cult concerts where tehy brought the about 40ft tall Godzilla and had it do Godzilla's roar before the lights came up to show a giant Godzilla on stage moving its upper body and looking around. The band then of course played "Godzilla".
When your in the first ten rows and drunk or high Godzilla looks to be friggen enormous up on stage.

My favorite would have to be when I saw NOFX at a small venue here. They were playing The Brews, and me and a couple of friends got up on stage, and we sang with Fat Mike. He even let me play the bass part on Linoleum. It was a lot of fun, and afterwards he told me I was pretty awesome at bass, and he'd try to find me a band on his label that needed a bassist, or if my band was ready, he'd sign us. Really nice guy.

So, yeah, I saw "The Answer" yesterday and it was afuckinmazing, man - like masturbation for your ears! I stood in the very first row and was able to smell the vocalist's shampoo. I think it is in no way exaggerated to call him the Robert Plant of the 21st century - he looked and acted just like Planty did back in 70s. And the rest of the band did an awesome job since you actually felt each member loving his instrument. Afterwards I got to shake each member's hand and got to talk to them and collected their signatures - all in all there was an immediate connection between the band and the audience. This was a totally awesome gig and they said that they want to come back in March, so yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
10/10
PS: Maybe we can change this to a "Review your last concert"-Thread?
