Rap....hate it -or- love it?

Ok sense my other thread was shut down, I started this one about rap.

Do you like it or hate it? And why? And dont give me "im white" crap....your skin color does not determine what you can and cannot listen to.

I listen to rap all the time. People say I cant listen to rap cuz im white...and I dont understand that. I hear with my ears, not my skin color. I cant stand the rock music and such. But I love rap.
I dont agree with alot of the rap that I listen too (the drugs and bitches and hoes stuff), but I like the beats and the lyrics. Not everyone can just rap. It takes skill. Im also talking about real rap, not so much the prewritten 50 Cent stuff.

I pretty much listen to Lloyd Banks, 50, Young Buck, The Game, and Xzibit.

The lyrical content. Sure the beats are great and they sound really good on a couple of 10 inch sub woofers, but if you judge a rap song solely on lyrical content, no one would listen to them besides loser kids who wanna be hard. Punk to me has great beats with lyrical content to match. Rap lyrics touch on content such as bitches, blunts, 40's, and gangbanging. There are a few exceptions to that, like tupac, nas, mos def, jurassic 5, and those rap artists I love. Todays rap industry sickens me though, it is garbage.

my current favourite songs: Call 9-1-1, Gangsta Nation, and Terrorist Threats. (props to my hommie dog Red Menace fo' da recomendations. Westside 4 eva! )

I listen to 2pac all the time. I like rap because of the beats and tunes in it and it's not full of screaming.

hate it, it just doesnt interest me, what element said is prolly why. I just hate most of the people who listen to it thinking their all 'hard core', i mean what do they get out of talking about all that stuff and going around waving their fingers and grabbing their genitiles and wearing big goofy chains? My opinion, music has hit an all new low.

I strongly dislike most rap, although some that I hear I find to be decent. Eminem's rap is the only type that I consider very much worth listening to.

I dislike most of todays rap. I do still listen to some rap every once in a while though. When I get into the mood to listen I listen to Dr. Dre, Eminem, OutKast, Tupac, and a few select others that I like. Other than that I avoid rap music for the most part.

I hate rap like 50cent and idiots like that but I like some rap, 2pac is my fave, I like most of his songs.

I like a lot of rap like 50 cent, lloyd banks, g unit and like eminem and stuff but I don't act "hard core" cause I do listen to it. I'm just a normal white guy who happens to like rap and no I don't wear all the chains and pants half-way down my ass and talk like all gangsta-like. I personally never saw the appeal in tupac's music, I don't know what people saw in that cause I don't like it at all unless he's with other people like Dre and were talking about like "california love". I don't really care for the people that say white guys or people in general shouldn't listen to rap and stuff like that, people that say stuff like that are just stupid. I listen to whatever music I like and couln't really give a crap what other people think of me because of it cause it takes too much time and energy and in the end it won't really matter that much to me what they think.
