This is in response to that travesty of a thread comparing the gods of metal, Metallica, to two posers (Korn and Papa Roach.

So, who will you inspire you to beat the shit out of someone today?

Metallica?
Slayer?
Megadeth?

What does Death Metal got with the poll too do? None of them plays Death Metal and either if they did, they are not worthy to be compared to real Death Metal bands. . Metallica is a band that shall be compared to KoRn since they both are for children, who cannot listen to the real deal.

Metallica may be music kids love to love, but they don't play the same kind of music as Korn and the like. Korn likes synthasizers, listen to their remake of The Wall if you don't believe me. Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth all use actualy musical instruments.

Ok, this is a step in the right direction from the previous poll... but still doesn't get it quite right.
Judging by the three choices, we seem to be talking about heavy--possibly speed or thrash?--metal. So where's Iron Maiden? Judas Priest? Pantera comes to mind again.

Ah well... at least I can vote for Slayer and still be able to sleep at night.

Well, the other used three, so I used three as well. I was thinking about Pantera, but Slayer and Megadeth, at least where I am from, seem to be better known; as a result I went with them.

To a Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Montrose and Scorpions fan, metallica and slayer seem like "fake" metal, so ive not voted

Metallica is awesome, don't be hatin'. Well, at least old Metallica. The new shit sucks ass.

Slayer is pretty good, Raining Blood happens to be one of my favorite songs so...

Metallica/Slayer/Megadeth are all three Thrash-Metal. Korn is what is called New-metal ( nu-metal is a stupid word ).

Since i haven't heard any megadeath songs I'd have to say Slayer. Although on personal preference i like metallica alot more, i just don't see metallica as a death metal band.
