favorite drummers im tired of seeing all these threads about best guitatist and favorite guitarist so here's the thread about you favorite drummers my favorite drummer is John Bonham from Led Zeppelin followed by Neil Peart from Rush |
Re: favorite drummers Bonham was hands down the best Peart in Second Buddy Rich in third Bonham= http://www.drummerworld.com/Videos/JohnBonham.mov http://www.led-zeppelin.com/sam/la72moby.ram Early Zeppelin Bonham Set- http://www.vistalites.com/gallery/bonham.jpg |
Re: favorite drummers Neil Peart was the best hands down in my opinion. The drummer from Rush, Neil Peart, is awesome. The man makes any other drummer sound dirty and sloppy. |

edit: hey mek have you seen the moby dick in the Led Zeppelin dvd? i just wish they had one of his 1 hour drum solos on video |
Re: favorite drummers marco minnemann (freaky fuckin weirdoz).... cause i know him personnally , and he showd me some of his tricks ^^ ( he was touring for tama and meinl lately) well there are so many brilliant drummers....but i like his style ...(mostly because his is similar to mine ^^ ) Quote:

Re: favorite drummers Quote:
he is by far the greatest drummer |
Re: favorite drummers my favourite drummer has to be one of the all time GREATEST drummers Mike Portnoy just the way he plays a 30 peice drum kit as if it were a 6 peice, he has already been entered into the drummers all of fame. |
Re: favorite drummers Dave Grohl. |
Re: favorite drummers My favs, in order: Bonzo, Sandy Nelson, Ringo Starr, Clem Burke, Mr. Moon, Buddy Rich, Dave Grohl, and Phil Collins - (don't like his music though.) :cya: |
Re: favorite drummers Phil Collins is alright, but I do like his music however. And I still consider Neil Peart to be above Bonham. I just think he knows more. They have both been playing as long as eachother though. |
Re: favorite drummers Bonham died in 80 and Moon died in 79 |
Re: favorite drummers my order: peart bonham collins |
Re: favorite drummers My favorite drummer is of course Nick Mason. |
Re: favorite drummers I like Ian Paice, John Bonham, Lars Ulrich, Travis Barker, Neil Peart, and Ringo Starr. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
great musician yeah , but no freakin drumgod :) |
Re: favorite drummers John bonham, Ringo starr, Buddy Miles. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:

Re: favorite drummers bonham from zep would be one of the best. but i really like travis from blink. they used to be really good in their old days. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
As for other drummers like Niel and all them, sure they're great. Just not my favorites. ;) |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
Many people overlook Travis Barker as a drummer because he plays in a pop/rock band called Blink 182. However, he has exeptional skill as a drummer. If you have ever seen him live, you would know what I am talking about. He is very quick, and has good rythem. |
Re: favorite drummers i have seen him live, and yes, he has very good talent. Lars isnt the best drummer, but he plays in a sick band:naughty: Rock on Metallica! |
Re: favorite drummers John Bonham(Led Zeppelin) John Desmore (The Doors) Keith Moon (The Who) One of Jethro Tulls many drummers. Ralph Molina (Crazy Horse) I don't really like Rush overall so I don't know how good Neil Peart is. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
Ringo was perfect for the Beatles but he isnt one of the greatest drummers, but then of course when he was around and espically during their concerts (with the constant screaming in the background) Ringo really had no choice but to just try and keep the tempo at their concerts they could barely hear themselfs he's not a bad drummer he's just not up with the very best |
Re: favorite drummers Peart's solos are amazing dude. |
Re: favorite drummers If anyones interested in seeing just how brilliant Mike Portnoy is then check out dream theaters latest DVD Live at Budokan or mike portnoys own DVD drums of thought (i think that is what it is called) |
Re: favorite drummers You wanna hear Peart, buy a rush album ;) |
Re: favorite drummers Lars Ulrich |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
|
Re: favorite drummers He has no musical talent, he just hits things together and doesn't play with the band. I don't even consider him a musician because of his shit fit with napster. |

they sued them shut them down then went after ***** and all those other filesharing places and they wont stop till they have shut down all file sharing and made millions while doing and bands dont usually make most of their money off of cd's they make a lot of it, and most of it for some bands, off of concerts |

Re: favorite drummers how eva much i hate Lars he does do some impressive drumming(not as good as Mike Portnoy tho) for example: in one show there was a bridge running ova the crowd and in the middle of a show he grabbed the snare drum and ran accross the bridge still playin the snare and sat at anotha drum kit at the back of the crowd. that is about the only good thing he has done. |
Re: favorite drummers Joey Jordison from Slipknot and Skinny from Mushroomhead. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
Deal with it. |
Re: favorite drummers Quote:
but that is nothing compared to the hour long drum solos that John Bonham would do at concerts |

Re: favorite drummers just accept the fact that not everyone wants to dig up john bonham and sodomize his remains, because he was the "godfather" ? of drumming... people have different tastes in music mek, and i dont think C38368 cares that no one could "master his amazing control" mabe you and jimmy could start a religion where you convert people to led zeppelin, they could worship them and think how much better they were than other bands because they have some stolen guitar riffs, a guy who can play drums really fast, and if you listen close enough you just might hear a bass line. |
Re: favorite drummers Its amazing how a hypocrite such as you was unbanned by me, all you talk about in the guitar section is the fact that David Gilmour is the greatest. Wow incredible, because you like Pink Floyd he is the best. I stated the Jimmy Page was a great guitarist but not the best. Unfortunatley for you, your head is so far up your ass, you would be able to tell what a great drummer was. http://www.listology.com/content_sho...ontent_id.7454 http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/page..._drummers.html http://www.classicrockpage.com/bestof/poll1.htm Quote:
Sorry to tell you this, but if I could play 1 Pink Floyd song, I could play all of them. |
