mods
 

I've tried installing some mods but they don't seem to work.. i put the .pk3 files in the main/mainta folder but nothing in the game changes.. for example... i tried the swastasmoke mod.. supposedly changed your smoke grenade to black smoke and with a swastik symbol.. but it doesn't.. other is the lee enfield.. i put the pk3 file but the weapon doesn't appear... what am i doing wrong?

Have you been sure to unzip the .pk3 files if they are compressed? And are you trying to use these mods in a multiplayer game? Or the single player game?;)

I have the same problem.. some works an others dont work... help us

multiplayer... i downloaded the files from www.mohfiles.com, they said it was for multiplayer.. and for spearhead... also the .pk3 are uncompressed.. I see the console log and they are loaded... but the game suffers no changes... i tried using them in MOH:AA multiplayer but it didn't work either...

any ideas? :)

I'm not an expert or anything, but this is what I would do:

Create my own multiplayer server, and see if the mods are functioning. Most servers created by other people are trying to run their own mods, yours may be incompatible or unable to function in their environment. Also, a lot of servers run anti-cheat programs and try to stop you from using most mods or skins to keep everyone on an "even playing field".

If you still can't get them to work, try using them one at a time, perhaps there is a conflict between the mods. I keep a shortcut to the MOHAA main folder on my desktop, so I can quickly move and remove my mods depending on what server I am joining or creating.

Also, you said they were for Spearhead, but you were trying to run them in Allied Assault?

well.. i should have already mentioned that... all my tests were done running my own spearhead server (yeah spearhead.. i tried on mohaa also but they didn't work.. that was kind of obvious :)

i also tried one by one.. because of conflicts.. i hade some mods that were similar.. or affected the same type of weapon... but those two i mentioned before never worked..

i'm getting kind of desperate :confused:

time to go to bed... tomorrow's another day for spearhead ehehe :)
