Taunts don't work

okay, I'm not sure exactly when this happened, but..... the multiplayer taunts don't work. when I do them in somebody else's server, the text shows up but no sound.

when I try them in my own server, nothing happens. no text, no sound

help me fix this

EDIT: this happens in breakthrough
