Pacific Assault is SLOW

So one would think with a 3.33333333GHZ P4 and a solid gig of ram i could run this friggin pacific assault. it runs the hell outta hl2, i can put that game up to max on all the graphical options and hand to god, my MOHPA chugs on medium everything.

and yes i've closed all my backround apps.

help?

well.. to help you a little, here are my system specs, and i run with decompressed textures, highest everything... SM 3.0 1280x1024

xfx Geforce 6600gt 128mb agp 8x (oc to 1080/550
1 gig of pc3200 elixir ram
amd athlon 64 3400 socket 754 2.4ghz processor...
