Elves dont have armor?!

Ok, I want to preface that Im only asking about this based on something I read. Im actually going and getting the game later today or tomorrow.

I read on a forum post that the elves dont wear armor but "look alot like peasants." Im pretty sure this guy doesnt know what hes talking about, because the elven armor is too cool not to be worn. But I thought Id ask anyways.

I couldnt find any close up screenshots of the elven units so thats pretty much why Im asking...that and so I can tell him off if hes wrong.

well ill give you some screens and tell you what they are:

These are called lorien swordsmen

These are called Elven Archers.

Thats the basic units for the elves, there are mmirkwood archers thay have cloaks like rangers but otherwise they have no "cool looking armour" like before in BFME1. Hope that answers your question!

yep just remember look in the manual they got pictures there, if you havent got the manual the look it up at www.lotrfiles.com or just on google.

Well, keep in mind that back during the First Age (or was it the Second Age?) that the Last Alliance fought the forces of Mordor...

Now, this is the Third and/or Fourth Age. Elves are practically gone, departing into the Grey Havens, and they haven't any use of heavy, bulky armor.

But if you use the Eregion Forge, and equip your Elven units with the Heavy armor, you will then get the cool-looking Last Alliance-esque armor.

In your create a hero, if you create an elf they don't have armor, but are the toughest kind. What's with that?
