I use my joystick to fly in VC. If you have one, set it up through the options --> controls menu.

Just use the control pad its easy start off abd go clock wise round the islands!

I did it first time lol, I used the choppers a lot before I actually did that mission so I got used to using W,A,S,D and 9 & 6 to fly things before I had to do anything to earn money.
