What ignited your interest in Star Wars? Well... just curious. Which movie or something else ignited your interest in Star Wars? If other, please state as a reply. Can you believe I actually got interested only after playing JK2 (which I bought in around October or November.)? Where have I been all these years, I have no idea. WJTW |
My mom made me watch the trilogy at the age of 5. since then, I'm star wars fan. (my mom was a star wars fan herself, so...) |

And so... who's idea was it to buy JK2? Your mum's :D WJTW |
Episode 1 !!! i picked Episode 1 but nnot the movie but the Game it was my first star wars game i played it liked it then watched episode 1 liked it. then i watche episode 2! then i bought star wars: star fighter becuse i like flying games! and JK@ is my third game. JK3 my Fourth (when it is out). then all the other lucasarts games! my favotie charectar was darth maul he seemed special that he has a doube bladded lightsaber! well there is my post :) |
yes, one day my mom turned on the TV, placed me on the sofa and started StarWars. :) man, ten years of trying to be a jedi.... I know I'm crazy. |
cool lol non of my parents like star wars for some reason lol |
Return of the Jedi I remember being in a furniture store and RotJ was playing on many of the big screen TVs on the part on Endor with the speeder bike chase. Later, my sister asked if we could watch that movie cause she remembered seeing it before. After that, I was a SW fan. Can you believe that at one point, I actually went out into our garage and started looking for pieces to build a lightsaber with?!?? |
My story is similar to the one of young Obi-Wan.My father showed me Star Wars for the first time when I was 6 or something.First I just watched ANH becuz I didn't know that there are more episodes. When I found this out I became a bigger Star Wars fan than before. :) STAR WARS 4EVER!!!  |
I was told by family and actualy whatched it because of jk2 When i was little i saw my freind liked it but i never got involved then about 2 years ago i started watching it cause of JK2 and my family told me it was on so i decided to watch it so i new the story line if jk2 was not out i would be bored and be on my pc doin my web site but cause of jk2 i wanted to know the story so my family told me it was on and when it was on so i watched it and i thought it was good that george lucas did the last three first and the first three second! :o |
Darth Maul..no question about it. Without him, Ep.I would of went by and I would of never even thought twice about it. I'm not a diehard SW fan, but close combat fights with glowing swords have sparked my interests since. |
lol why do you think DarthMaul is my name??? lol welll i liek darth vader more but i like darth mauls reflexes and stuff :) |
JK2... before that, I was a Trek fan who was, traditionally, against everything with glowing sticks in. But I was a gamer, and when a game gets 90+% in every review, you have to try it. THen the movies came on TV, then I bought the Ep2 DVD, then I went on the web, and now I love every minute of it. |
Finally... A Star Trek fan became a Star Wars one. This is indeed something to celebrate. :D WJTW |
hey, cool, +Star+Wars+!!! see? we have so much in common!! ;) j/k yeah, growing up with star wars as early as possible is the best education a child can have:agreed: |
my dad showed me ahn when i was six. i even know the exact date. 21.11.1994.....ah, these days. i can remeber me and my older brother beating each other up with luke's green and vader's red (kenner-toys of course) lightsaber. btw, i have a large starwars collection, i'm still collecting EVERYTHING from starwars, nearly like steve sanswet (ok, not that much..) 'bout 200 figures, 20 crafts , every sw-O.S.T., lightsabers, posters, nearly every sw-game on every system, statues, mousepads, cups and dishes, toothbrushes, pepsi bootles with stickers, every toy from these cornflakes ...and, the pices i'm most proud of: My dad gave me his very own starwars-movies, he bought about 1980!!! the original ones, like they have in the cinemas! (i don't know the word now... ) . [fire=4]P.S.: anyone from germany or europe near germany who would sell me his SOTE-"Outrider" would get everything from me! it's the only one i don't have yet (i think) and, at least it's my favourite sw-craft!![/fire] |
you are VERY cool Raitenks!!! That's how it has to be!! Have you got cool lightsabers?? |
my favourite is luke's green lightsaber for 299$, it's real metal and very detailed. the rest is all just kenner-plastic |
I don't remember exactly, I think my dad was watching it so I started watching it too. thenmy Dad got me the original Triology for Christmas then I was a hard core fan still don't have the special effects triology = / |
For me, STAR WARS blew my mind. I absolutely loved it. But just a fun sort of silly movie. Then the industry got too serious. And THEN, with these new movies, I've completely lost interest in every aspect of Star Wars except for this game (and now Academy:D). Lucas just ruined his sh^t. |
Strangely enough, it was the Lightsabers that attracted me to Star Wars when I was a child. Powerful glowing swords they are, and sounded and looked cool with the Jedi fighting with 'em! That's what I at least thought as a kid, and in a way still do. :p Another reason is Episode 1. I began losing interest in the mid-1990s of Star Wars, getting into other sci-fi and stuff. When I watched Episode 1, it re-ignited my interest. :) So I voted for Ep. 1 but if I could, I'd also vote for Other... |
I have to say, that to some degree I agree with fallenbythewayside; one of the major attractions of the first three movies was the 'buckaneer' feel they had; that cowboy Han Solo clumsily blowing stuff up accross the galaxy, Yoda and his bizarre senile behavior, Chewie and Han's antics... then they all started speaking with bad British accents. It got a little too serious for its own good. I really wasn't expecting it to turn into stuff like 'the chosen one'... But hell, the latest two have some of the most spectacular battles I've ever seen... But then, the serious stuff makes it more like a serious film. Hence it got a lot of instant cult fans. But I love em 'all. And WJTW, I still remember my ST heritage ;) |
I got in2 star wars when i was in 3rd grade actually. I am in 9th now. I like it, but i am not in2 it as much as when i was little I have a life now  But DF got me in2 it, at least i think so. I always wondered, after i watched 4,5,6 on tape, why they didnt have 1,2,3 in the movies. But, actually, I think the toys got me in2 it. I saw some of those little ships that came in the square boxes, and i bought the X-Wing on a 2.50 allowence, after saving for like 5 weeks, and after DF, i played the X-Wing simulator. A Trekkie gone Warrsie? Very interesting, that is... |
I used to be a gigantic ST and SW fan. Now I'm just a big ST fan and a so-so SW fan. This game is the only new thing that's come out lately that I've been into of SW. God, those prequels sucked. Ep II COULD have been okay, except for...DUN DUN DUHN!...Hayden Christiansan. |

It was the OT I can't really remember the beginning but, I liked the movies for a long time(I was 5). Then when I was slightly older I went to my friends house and he had a whole lot of Star Wars toys. It resparked my interest. Now about 9 years later I'm a huge SW fan(I rented Bombad Racing knowing it was horrible) and he's a LOTR fan. |
