yes it is all the opinion and the way you look at it. no i don't have a religion, but i do believe in something, just haven't figured it out yet. i think the whole religion thing is stupid, but i don't want to start to argue about that here, cuz i could write pages about it. but there must be something out there. i mean there are sooo many stystems. and we don't even know how big the universe is. if we haven't explored all of it, how can we say there is no other lifeform. i don't believe that some aliens are gonna come down here and kill us all, but there is something. the chances that they come to our planet are just so slim because of the size of the universe. and they might seek peace?! who knows.

This is something that bothers me... why is it that thopse scientists always thing that there MUST be oxygen or water or some other things WE need for OTHER life to survive? "Oh, this planet doesn't have a drop of water, has hardly any oxygen, blah, blah, therefore, I conclude there is no life on this planet." What makes them think THOSE things are required?

Oh... ErDb33rjOgHuRt, can you help be rate the older threads as well? Possible to rate almost all new posts since this forum doesn't get thousands of new posts each day, this is quite possible, isn't it?

oh man that makes sense. life doesnt neccesarily have to have water or a stable atmosphere. thats good ill make sure to watch for that one next time im arguing about it lol

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 5th, 2003 06:52 AM

Yea its true, how can we assume that they need water and oxygen if we haven't explored everything, i mean there could be nearly everything possible. Hmm strange, do you think some other lifeform already came to our planet and observed us?? Or just flew by?

NiteStryker May 5th, 2003 07:56 AM

Mabey we are being spied on by them, like we were created by them, like sims or something. With the universe being billions and billions of light-years across, there has to be AT LEAST bacteria out there, if not other civilizations. Wouldnt it be ironic if someday we are visited by human-oid forms that have some kind of hyperspace travel, and in 25,000 years, there is a death star? Lol, j/k.

"It's life Jim, but not as we know it."

:D

What we see in Star/trek or star wars, maybe isn't so far from the reality as we think. 100 years ago nobody could imagine a computer. i don't think they even thought about it. so maybe there will be somebody with a great invention like a hyperdrive or a lightsaber?! we just don't think about it. thats what the future is, you never know whats commin, and thats why it is so exciting. i mean there could be a star wars already out there. there already could be jedi fighting against the sith. man you could assume sooo much. man i wanna live forever so i can catch all that, that'd cool!!!

NiteStryker May 5th, 2003 11:39 AM

True

Yellow May 5th, 2003 07:49 PM

yea and u notice that about the time the crash in roswel computers stated poping up. ppl thought it was tech stripped from the craft :agreed:

NiteStryker May 6th, 2003 07:50 AM

Well, I do believe there is life out there somewhere . I mean, the universe is over 99 quadrillion light-years across, with over a few trillion galaxies, with more stars than we can count, there at least has 2 be bacteria out there, if not a whole colonized galaxy. Now, I am not one of those ppl who are like an Area 51 escapee who are going around, saying "The aliens are coming!!!", who lives in a shack with 100 cats who is paranoid about the government spying on them, i am just a 15 year old high-school student who just thinks that by pure chance and stastics, there has to be something else out there :borg:, if not whole other civilizations.:agreed:

Also, why would they want 2 take over us? :assimilate: Every movie shows aliens coming here to take over the planet. WHy would they travel 90 billion light years to start a fight?

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 6th, 2003 10:54 AM

Well maybe there already is something like an empire. and they want to rule the whole universe and they have to take us over. easy question :D

NiteStryker May 6th, 2003 01:25 PM

If you think about it, the human race wouldnt be something to really be proud of taking over. Over 1/4 of all humans are overweight, and another 1/4 are just plain stupid. Only about 1/2 of the humans are any good.:mepimp:

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 6th, 2003 06:07 PM

yeah we all suck. against other races, that might be out there. but just to rule us, u know. we could still be there for some us i guess.

Yellow May 6th, 2003 07:55 PM

i dont know maybe oxygen is a hugly rare gas and very valuable how should i know lol. not that i belive in it thou. nice ramble there made me laugh. i belive in stats and stuff but the only thing keeping me back is that im christian. now i disagree with lots of things the catholic shurch does but aliens existing seems to me pretty not right. there may be life but not intelligent life. or maybe they just want to study us lol.

yea we suck. in all the books about aliens its always untited them against war torn humans. it sux how come we have to hate eachother and they can just be happy be really smart and fly around picking on other more violent ppls

hoofta that was a long one

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 7th, 2003 10:48 AM

yes they could take our earth because of the oxygen. well if they are capable of flying to the earth, over such long distances i'm sure they found some way of creating oxygen.

i totally agree with agent smith that the human race is more like a virus for this planet (he said that to morpheus) we're just destroying the planet and not protecting it.

Yellow May 7th, 2003 07:22 PM

yea ya know we really suck

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 7th, 2003 07:29 PM

hmm no offense yellow but you're posting too much. what are you trying to do?? get the most posts?? thats stupid. you like reply to everything and than only something like above. "yeah we all suck" please try to make your posts a little more informative (is there such a word)

but its just my opinion, and as i said, no offense in any way.

Yellow May 7th, 2003 07:44 PM

hey. if u have a problem take it to the mods. i have posted reasonable things throught the whole thread. its not ur place to slam me when i make one post that doesnt meet yoru requirments. only reason i have lots of posts is cuz i get involved in alot here and jk3. im not liek the normal ppl who make their thread and post in there i like my opinions seen if u dont liek it leave. u see how defensive i get when ppl say that sorta thing ahhhhhhh. they dont even know wut theyre saying. jeezez

u cant expect me to take no offense either i meen i think i prollie reversed it all in my defense but still man cmon now

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 8th, 2003 06:44 AM

uhm :uhm: maybe you're right. i didn't mean it in any offense you have to believe me. i had a bad day yesterday and i guess i got pissed to fast. i apologies for that. i don't have the right to critize you like that.

NiteStryker May 8th, 2003 07:38 AM

We do suck. With America in a huge budget deficit, not to mention califorina(where i Live), the cathloc church corupted, war in the middle east, earth is prolly not on the "Top 10 places to take-over" list.

***Also yellow, erdb IS a mod:agreed: ***

ErDb33rjOgHuRt May 8th, 2003 01:21 PM

Still it doesn't matter if i'm a mod or not. It wasn't right to do.:(

yep we're a virus for this planet rather than a protection. we're mammals but yet we don't act like them at all.

NiteStryker May 9th, 2003 07:48 AM

No, we really are. We have drunks  :r , we have :mepimp: , we have corrupt society, middle-east war, we are not on the "Top 10 places 2 own" list, im sure. But, the aliens would prolly remove that:assimilate:

At that distance, they'd be coming from another galaxy! Hell, Andromida (the closest galaxy to ours) isn't even that far away. The Milky Way is only about 150,000 light years wide. O_O
