| Some n00b that binds specials
Join Date: August 10th, 2002 Status: If I was any busier I'd be Jamaican Rep Power: 29 | Spectrum/BOFH will probably never stop doing JediPlus/OmniMod, he's already talking with the Duelers coder about using some of his stuff in the next version of Jediplus/OmniMod.
Honestly I don't see the point in sharing everything, a couple of things like the non-interference code (the one he has now was written by the duel_se coder, this new one (done by Lee Oattes, Duelers coder) makes it so you can only see, hear, & read the player you are privately dueling with) is cool, but I personally don't think you should share all of the features because what's the point of using the other mod?
As of now the Duelers mod is coming along very impressively, the next version should have the multi-duel code I've been trying to get out to the community. Once that's done & Lee has recieved more feedback from the current release, then he will probably share with the Spectrum/BOFH, but until then it's pointless. Why fix something twice.
Duelers 1.1 is out everyone, while a variety of the features are similar (& based on the ideas) to JediPlus/OmniMod, there is no JediPlus/OmniMod code in there what-so-ever. Lee has 20 years experience so he's definitely one experienced coder.
Right now there's only a zip but I am working on an installer with a winhelp file & a bunch of other goodies for everyone out there in JK2land as well. Keep your eyes peeled & you may want to checkout the existing version. |
