I'm sure that your job as an admin/mod isn't just to delete and ban people.

You are given tools and edit other people's messages and/or merge topics or posts (certain forum software for the latter.).

So, if someone accidentally hit the post button, and add on something they've forgotten, it would be nice if the moderator would help these people bring the second post to the first, and then delete the second/repeated post.

I'm sure you've done that already, though...

Gizmo does not delete posts for no reason. He's a totaly great mod and I think you have misunderstood him.

Erm... did I mention about this?

I just said he should help the people who double posted to merge their posts together.

When did I mention anything about his Power of Blasting Messages into Oblivion?

If someone accidentally hit the post button, and want to add something they've forgotten,

then they can edit their message
by clicking

on edit

on the right side underneath there post.

Yes, you have a point there.

But people might think it is OK to post like that. People that posted prior to the post by Gizmo, of course. People posting after that in this fashion is to be faulted.

I think these rules should have been stated since this board is started. I don't know when it was started, though...

But still, the mods should try their best to help the people who forgot or not aware that the Edit button is there.

I don't know why I am replying to that post... I think I've got nothing better to do...

It's not really the mods fault b'coz sometimes people double post to increase their post count.
It's hard to be a mod.
I would'nt mind being one though.

Yepp. I was a mod on another forum but quit after a few days cos the board was spammed like crazEE! I'm looking to becoming a mod again though.

Id wanna be a mod too but I wouldnt wanna pay for it and I have a serious issue with Censorship, Censorship is the devil!

Censorship isnt protecting a mind from pollution, its isolating a mind from reality, you cant hide it forever so why hide it at all?

What I meant by Edit your posts, is that there are many ways that people abuse this.

One, the famous "Bump" Which I can happily say does not happen here.

Someone will post, then post again if no one else posts a reply.

Two. If someone posts some information about something, then relizes that they may have left something out, and would like to add that info, just edit the above post, and not start a whole new post just to add something you forgot. If you cannot edit your poost for some reason and you feel it is very important that you get this info out then by all means post again.

I have just seen alot of people abuse this, and mostly to increase there post a\numbers, or to bump there thread. But it has been along time since people have been abusing this, and these forums are looking really good.

:)
