Yes, and the sparks also can indicate wether you've hit the enemy or he blocked it with his weapon.

No you see a not very pretty site. But you see blood. Thats why there is red sparks. I can not tell you for sure anyway cause I haven't done that with a saber yet.

You won't see blood! It is a lightsaber, it just burns the flesh and all the veins so the blood is stopped that is why lasers are used in micro surgery so there would not be blood. I hate this bug in Ep4 when Ob1(not the one who just posted) cut off someone's hand and there was blood.
And you all spark haters! You can safely remove them and play without them, than we will talk...

I think that sparks is a great part of gameplay, the game needs eyecandy and it does not need to blindly follow the movies. Why won't you go and scream around about Shadowtrooper's, Reborn and The Valley of the Jedi? All of this things are not included in SW databank and it seems Ok to you. Consider the sparks the same part of expanded universe as the other things I named, or think that the lightsabers are made of cheaper materials in order for the ordinary jedi to be able to afford it if their old one was cut off with their hand.

Yes I do not think that the movies are the only thing in the starwars universe. The games and books are equally important. And there for should be able to apear their own way and should therefor stick to the basic rules of the starwars universe but not be totally based on the movies.:agreed:
