Everyone will get bored of Jedi Academy eventually. It just doesn't have much (if any) replay value, and it's a natural fact that games without replay value don't hold people's interest for very long.
The only strength Jedi Academy really has, is the fact that it's a Star Wars game. If it weren't a Star Wars game, this community probably would have died years ago.
Those of us who are fans of the series from the cradle (ie. we played Dark Forces and DF2: Jedi Knight) have somewhat higher expectations. Jedi Outcast and moreso Jedi Academy were both somewhat disappointing for many of us. If it weren't so easy to mod it would be a lost cause to the majority of the community, I'm sure.
