Will you ever get Sick of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy?

Hi,
I Know everyone has been playing Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for a Long Long Time now, so, here's a question for everyone.

"Will you ever get bored of playing Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy"

For Me: I love playing it, i dont think i will get bored playing Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for a long while.

The_Twig July 5th, 2007 04:55 AM

I am bored of this game up to this point. Bored enough that I haven't touched it in some either.

Kwaber July 5th, 2007 06:38 AM

Half the people, moderates and jk2files staff included, already are.

Mikouen July 5th, 2007 07:45 AM

Everyone will get bored of Jedi Academy eventually. It just doesn't have much (if any) replay value, and it's a natural fact that games without replay value don't hold people's interest for very long.

The only strength Jedi Academy really has, is the fact that it's a Star Wars game. If it weren't a Star Wars game, this community probably would have died years ago.

Count Konnan July 5th, 2007 09:21 AM

I strugle to get board of it, i played it 3 days in a row, no sleep.

Inyri Forge July 5th, 2007 10:46 AM

Where's the "I was bored of it the day I bought it" option?

Count Konnan July 5th, 2007 11:02 AM

aahh, yeah well i never thought that option wasn't needed...clearly i was wrong hehe.

Those of us who are fans of the series from the cradle (ie. we played Dark Forces and DF2: Jedi Knight) have somewhat higher expectations. Jedi Outcast and moreso Jedi Academy were both somewhat disappointing for many of us. If it weren't so easy to mod it would be a lost cause to the majority of the community, I'm sure.

Count Konnan July 6th, 2007 09:42 AM

Jedi Outcast and Academy Were somewhat amazing for me and somewhat still is, so what ever somewhat means, i mean it in a somewhat good way.

kagero July 6th, 2007 01:48 PM

im sick of it now, but i still play

Darth-Plagueis July 6th, 2007 11:57 PM

I am not sick of it yet but after I beat SP i will be I know I will be, but know I <3 it

it is kind of to easy I put it on Jedi and not Jedi Knight I wish I wouldv'e changed it to a harder diffuculty all I do it

Lighting, force push, slash, rinse wash repeat

Lighting practically beats the game for you

Darth_skywalker July 7th, 2007 04:52 AM

i had a good few years out it, i very rarely play now i can see that gradually there are less servers every month that passes

DarthJebus05 July 7th, 2007 07:22 AM

I got bored of it, didn't play for 2 months then went back into it.

Ralfiez July 10th, 2007 07:15 AM

Without Multiplayer and great Modifications, I would be bored right now.

Shmible July 11th, 2007 09:59 PM

I never got sick of JK2. I only play it less often because nobody else ever plays it. Perhaps JA might be the same..

yes but it will be a long time, not to mention the fact that their is still people playing JK2 on stupid severs with no force of guns just using the sever as a chat room and once and a while a great duel, so what I'm saying is if that game can still be played I think Academy has about 5 years left in it no doubt.

Anson992 July 15th, 2007 12:39 AM

I am so bored with this game... I barely play it. Sometimes something will get me back on for a few days, but I've beaten the SP 3 times in one day.... thats how bored I am.... it took little over 3 hours....

StarWarsGeek July 15th, 2007 05:06 PM

you forgot an option, "I already am sick"

~ibonek~ July 15th, 2007 05:42 PM

If it wasnt so fun to mod, i would have been sick of it. I think its pretty good, but ive never played DF2: JK or DF. They look too old, but ive heard so many times that it has a great story line.

Serio July 16th, 2007 04:49 PM

Ow. I didnt know THAT many peoples was bored of JKA(then again, this part of the Filefront forum isnt THAT active). Regular JKA got bored around 1 year ago, but it was Roleplaying that kept me at JKA :D Without that... well, lets just say it would be gathering dust like all other 2004 games.(theres still around 2,000 players in JKA).

Yes it is... Go visit LucasForums' JA section and then tell me we're not that active.

lehvak July 17th, 2007 06:34 AM

I got bored of it about three years ago!

Anson992 July 17th, 2007 07:58 PM

Its pretty active. The GOW part of the Filefront Forum was inactive until they started to announce the PC version.

~ibonek~ July 17th, 2007 08:20 PM

This is probly one of the most active ones in the Games section, i think

Caliostro July 19th, 2007 10:54 AM

Single player: yeah..rather fast...

Multiplayer: Most probably never... I've played this game about 3 or 4 years ago... I never got bored of it, I just lost the CD... There's just a particular "style" to fighting in this game that I can't find in any other game...

Off course, I do need a break every once in a while, but generaly speaking.. The PvP fun is virtually endless for me.

Tanith July 22nd, 2007 07:11 AM

Im a bit bored of jka now been playing online just over 2 years and it just isint the same anymore. Its much more difficult to find skilled people these days, most are on passworded base servers and there are far far far to many servers running on the ja+ mod. MB2 just fucked up the game completly and role playing is just wtf.

JKA was at its peak about 2 years ago and has been going downhill since then, eventually it will just be fulled of people who need to seriously get out more and people who think the moves Kata and butterfly are actually good.
