I'm new. Some advice for me? Hey, I'm getting JKA for pc today. Already beat it on XBox and I have JK2 for pc. Decided I need to check JKA for pc out. Anybody know of mods I must download? Or advice on how I should conduct myself on the servers for multiplayer? And last, if you have played both JK2 and JKA tell me how you think JKA compares to JK2. -Thanks, I hope to get lots of responses. And by the way, :cya: hope I'll have time to hang out here. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? The best advice, is to buy a different game... Quote:
JAE is a good mod, it keeps the damage and hitdetection system at baseJKA, and you don't need to download anything to play on it's servers. Likewise with Lugormod, which is more of an RPG mod, but does have fun little features. (That reminds me, I forgot to set 3MJ's server to JAE...) Quote:

Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? Really dont like it eh Kouen? :/ Heh, thanks for the information. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? My advice for you Kaeros..avoid the JA+ mod. The mod unbalanced the combat pretty bad. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? Best mods for me.. JAE. or xMod. But it all depends on what key elements of a mod your looking for. I distinguishly prefer JAE as it provides you with a better administrative control whilst keeping the game BaseJKA. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? i really like the MB2 mod but thats just me. i always found JKA duels as just hack n slash. MB2 gives saber combat a twist. and not to metion it gives u objectives. if u ever get bored of JKA or just think the saber fights r dull get MB2. or if u like team play. |

JKA is JKA. MB2 is a cheap version of Star Wars Battlefront. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? Thanks for the advice guys. It turns out I'm going to have to order JKA since I can't find it in any stores so I will soon I think. I'll have to check out these mods when I get JKA, and yes, I'll avoid JK+. :) Thanks again and I can't wait to join you on the servers. |
Re: I'm new. Some advice for me? FYI, not sure where you live, but Wal Mart stores seem to be stocking Jedi Academy pc games for around $9.88 |
