saving binds...help When I play MP all my binds and user name get put to default. How can I make them stay the way i want them to be?:uhoh: |
Re: saving binds...help well did you type bind (key) (command) or what method did you use to bind if you used the one I told you I cant help if not use that method |
Re: saving binds...help yes i typed in the consul things like bind g say good fight. And when i turn the game on it and my profile is back to defaults. Its only oon some servers. |
Re: saving binds...help o well im not sure if it works for talking i think it only works for commands but, im not sure try binding something to screenshot and look in the top left corner to see if it worked if it still doesn't work then i cant help |
Re: saving binds...help Each mod keeps its own config file. If it doesn't find a jampconfig.cfg in its own directory, it uses the 1 in gamedata\base. when you bound the keys, were you in a different server (perhaps running JA+ or someother mod) The simplest way is to delete all your jampconfig.cfg files, except the 1 in gamedata\base. Then edit the cfg file directly, using an editor that supports unix style carriage-return [no linefeed]. (wordpad supports this, as do all good editing tools, notepad does not) |
Re: saving binds...help I bet you always start the game in safe mode, then the game will be at lowest resolution, all binds lost and set to default I have an autoexec.cfg in the base folder with name, say, etc. binds :) Try doing that too, cuz the autoexec.cfg will start everytime, even if you use a mod |
Re: saving binds...help ok, i have the same problem, when i start the game threw atuo load every time it works, but once i load the game threw the start menu, it goes back to default. Try to load the game the same way every time, even if that means ejecting and putting the cd ever time u want to play, its second nature for me now to do that. |
