Some StarWars secrets...
young Obi-Wan

maybe this is not so secret for some of you guys, but let's get it on,
here's a few interesting facts about some little SW-thingies which I found:

Q: What does the 1138 mean?

A: The 1138 is a number that keeps appearing in Gerorge Lucas' movies. in episode 4, Chewbacca was meant to get arrested in cell 1138. in "American Graffiti", the IN of Harrison Ford's car is 1138. In Indiana Jones you hear the anounce saying "1,1,3,8". Now in this game, you even got the cheat setforceall 1138... Reason: Georgie's filmdebut from 1971, a Sci-Fi-Drama, was called "THX-1138"

Q: From Episode 4 to 5, Luke's face changed dramatically in only 3 years...

A: Mark Hamill had a car accident in year 1977 and flew through the car window (a BMW). he needed to be *patched* by some chirugs. but now his face was so different, George Lucas built in the Wampa Ice Beast to explain those wounds in his face (George himself keeps denying this tho)

Q: Why do allways get arms chopped off in SW?

A: indeed, exept of Episode 1, there is a certain invalidity in arms. in Episode 4, C3PO and my favorite doctor loose their arms. in the following movie, the wampa and Luke get their hands chopped off. in Eisode 6, Vader loses his hand again (the one which got chopped off by Dooku in Episode 2)... There is even a website covering this theme, find it by searching The Chopped-Off Hands of Star Wars . George Lucas calls this just a thematic variation

this is not very usefull, but interesting to know, methinks cya

That's even the sound quality standard used by lucasfilm and lucasarts! .
I have a question. Why does Ben-kenobi disappear when killed by Vader (Ep 4) indeed of being chopped in half by Vader's "bad-sounded" saber?
And why does Yoda die in the same way? Why Qui-Gon Haven't died in the same Way (when killed by Darth maul - Ep 1)?
end...

that's easy - Ben and Yoda prepaired for dying. Ben took his guard down, and Yoda knew he would die. they could become one with the force now.
Qui-Gon was in a fight, and got killed rapidly, without having time to repair for the death. that's why he didn't disappear.
