Steam not opening

sorry for posting again but i could solve it on my own anyway i was playing half life 2 synergy it was going ok i closed the game and then steam later when i opened it didnt work nothing came to screen when i opened again it said it was running i closes steam from the task manager but when i open first nothing then when i do again it says it running wth is this i reinstalled steam too but cant fix any help would be good plz ppl help me !!!

Try restarting your computer, activating Steam and waiting.

ok i managed to get it running i am installing my games now but i takes soooooooooooooooo slow is this beacouse the steam is working bad

Or your internets bad.
Are you downloading your games or intalling them from a CD?

From CD and my net is good it is the hightes option when you install steam but it is slowing down sometimes i can load the games but will lt be slow when playing i wonder?

I doubt it. If you have a good computer, you should be good.

well tnx that the games are nearly done and i will load my mods after it if you play garrys mod and now stuff about it check the topic i opened about it
