Audio language change

Hi, I have a problem of somesort, it ain't a bug.

I own a german version of Half life 2 which is in German in every way and yes it's an original. I would like to change the language( by language I mean the conversations etc.) from German to English. :(
Can anyone help me or it's impossible to do something like that?:confused:

In Steam, go to settings and change the language to English. Restart Steam and it'll download the needed files.
