Default L4D 2 too violent for Australia?

Before you try to kill me, there isn't any l4d spots so yea.
Watching the L4D 2 E3 teaser reminds me of what happened to Soldier of fortune: payback where it was banned here for being too violent and re released without the dismemberment. Now I am wondering if the same thing will happen to L4D 2 where the release will be delayed while the gore is kicked off and made wussy.

Anyone have an answer for this?

Gore is Good is all I will say from here

In case you haven't noticed, this isn't exactly the most active forum. The most recent thread after this one hasn't been posted in for two weeks.

I've always been against government censorship of public entertainment, but especially when it comes to video games. Games like this are rated 18+ for a reason, and if people don't want their children playing them, it's their responsibility to make sure they don't. It's not the government's job to babysit grown men and tell them they can't play bloody or violent games.

Thanks for the info about this forum, I may re post this elsewhere providing no one decides to kill me for reposting.

Also the Australian Govt don't actually allow a R 18+ rating (stupid I know considering thinks like the Saw series) so this makes thousands of people unhappy and we wait until the developers remove the gore, which makes me feel like I have an inferior product, not equal to everyone else.
