3ds max 6

Its soooo sweet! Its latest updates are fantastic! I really need to go to work, but I cant seem to pull my bloodshot eyes away from the screen.

Heres a list of the newer features:

Shell Modifier - A new modifier that allows complex surface extrusions (really neat  )

.DWG design viz workflow - New and improved ability to import Archictectural Desktop and AutoCAD 2004 DWG files (much better:thumbsup: )

Skin Mirror - Envelope and vertex weight mirroring in the skin modifier (havent tried this yet? :uhm: )

Skin Utility - copy and paste vertex weights between dissimilar objects by storing them in a temporary mesh (also not used yet? :uhm: )

Schematic View- A quick look at the new schematic view (very nice  )

Relax UVs - New UVW relax functionality in the UVW unwrap modifier (cool  )

Vertex Paint - New powerful vertex painting tool (Wicked Awesome!! )

Particle Flow - Introduction to the new particle flow particle system. (this made my head hurt  )

Fracture - Improved Fracture feature for Reactor® Dynamics (Spectacular effects options  )

Particle Flow 2 - More complex example of particle flow with reactor (this made my head hurt more  )

Ragdoll - The new ragdoll/virtual stuntman system for Reactor® Dynamics. (I played with this for hours  )

mental ray® - Integrated mental ray rendering. (Finally!!! No more plug-in!! And it has excellent options  )

Problem is that I only have ten days left on my 30 day trial so if anyone wants to borrow me oh...say 5 or 6 grand so I can get registered I'd be most appreciative. :D Or else its back to 5.1 for me. :( Or is it? :naughty:

If you havent checked it out yet and want to, the 30 day trial is at www.discreet.com Tell em ditchhopper sent you and get absolutely nothing in return. *while supplies last.

Me too. Then I wouldnt have to resort to unscrupulous measures to keep this thing alive. (did I say that out loud?) :o Forgot I still had this, its the direct download link to get the trial and all the tutorial files and add ons that go with it if you want to bypass their email registering thinger. WARNING. Several large downloads if you want it all. Dont know how long this link will be good?

yes it is, and if you are still using 98, i'm 99.9% sure you cannot run 3dsmax 6 succesfully. It may run, but it will be extremely choppy. My shitty 1.5 p4 w/ 512 ram and 9600 se will run 3dsmax (5 and 6) fine when I'm just messing around. But when It comes time to do some real work, you should at least have a 2.8 w/ 1 gig ram

yes there are tons of importers/exporters. And you can find them all at a little place i like to call http://www.google.com.

http://mojo.gmaxsupport.com/

those will allow you to import/export straight to millkshape. compile from there
