Think about it though, Halo 2 isnt even on the pc platform, and bungie being heavily involved with microsoft aswell probably dont want a free version of halo 2 on any format wether all the content was newley made and not ripped or if it was, the halo name is copyrighted so they would have to ask permission to use the halo name, and most likley master chief is copyrighted to, so in all, just ask for permission before getting so far with this potential mod and getting shut down

way to keep his hopes up guys =D. just ask for permission to use what u can. theyll specify what u can and cant use, so i assume. but keep at it its a good idea even tho i dont know what the big deal about halo is in the first place.

You could make the vehicles and rename them.

That would be really cool actually. I rather think a ghost would be better than a stupid old dune buggy anyday :p

There have been mods based on Halo that arecomming along nicely. Halo gen is one.

I doubt they will care.

They will, you have to realise Halo 2 is still making money, my bet is that you'll get shut down as soon as you go even slightly public.

They shut down the Duke Nukem mod, and it's based on a game that's 9 years old.
Besides, what's with people always trying to make a total conversion to bring a game they like into a different engine? If I want to play Halo 2, I can do that already. Why should I wait for a mod? Sorry, just being realistic, not idealistic.
