| instead of using all those damn batch files to convert a vtf into a tga, why not just use the vft plug in for photoshop. EDIT here i have uploaded the files needed. place both of the files in, plugins/fileformat/ or somthing like that. i am not a attentive member in this subforum so if it has already been posted my apologies.

| Nevermind..fixed it. Now, I used GCFScape to open the GCF "counter-strike source shared.gcf", went to the cstrike/models/weapons, but could not find any VTF's, only VTX's. Fragger, can you help me out here? Is this plugin for skinning weapons and such?? Paper-Cut |

| You're looking in the wrong folder. This plugin is to be able to open the textures directly in Photoshop in their native format. You still need to know how to use Photoshop, though.

| I thought the vtf plug-in was mandatory...in any case it makes life much easier.

| Correction: Place the "VTFLib.dll" file into "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3" (or any other path that you use) and palce it there in the main folder, not the plugin folder. Then palce the "VTF.8bi" file into "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plugins/FileFormat" folder and restart Photoshop. If this does not works, try restart the whole computer. Hope that helps! Sorry if I brought back an old thread, but it needed correction, because I found this thread and souloved the problem over Google. Last edited by iPeez; May 9th, 2009 at 06:36 AM.. |
