What type of map? I am currently working on an island themed map for CS: Source. What kind of map should I do? Hostage rescue, bomb defusal, or plain fight to the death? I figured that hostage and deathmatch would be the easiest for this type of map, but I would like to know what other people would want...and if anyone knows any places to find static meshes and props, I would appreciate it. I need some palm trees and other assorted island thingies. |

Re: What type of map? ya hostage would be good...then again i was thinking bomb defusel but the bomb isnt a bomb its a beacon and when planted after 45.sec it calls for a GIGANTIC NUCLEAR BOMB THAT BLOWS THE WHOLE ISLANT TO SMITHERINES!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!!! |

One thing... One thing...this will be my first map to do. So when I finish with it I'll put up a link. If you want to edit it and make it better, then e-mail me and I'll send you the .vmf file and anything else that you need. And here's a quick rundown of the map: (and I decided to rule out a de_ map because blowing up a remote island sounds kinda lame) A small tropical island with a deserted Japanese WW2 military base in the middle. A jungle surrounds it. The CTs start on the outskirts of the island, the Ts in the base and around it. There are several paths leading to the base and several ambush points. No choke points exactly exact at the base. The hostages are located inside the base (if I decide to do a cs_ map). Otherwise, just try and kill the other team. Should be fun. Hopefully, a fun Far Cry-themed map. But remember: don't give up your hopes...I'm not a very experienced mapper, I just have ideas right now. |
