| Ok I have build my solution and all seems to work until I try to play the game. Then this lovely message appears: module c:\...\server.dll is a debug build. I think the linker work fine but it seem that something is wrong. There is no error or warning when I hav compiling my source. May I have some help? ps I'm french so sorry for the english mistakes... |

| Thank now it work. Just have to found a .bsp to test it but I don't have any of the map of hlČ in my game... I think it's because I begin a mod for scratch but I'm not shure. Does I have to declare the map of my mod in the game motor or does I juste have to let it in the folder map? I want to do that map succed themself as it doing in hlČ. Does I have to make a file with the order of the map or is it at the mapper to create link between them? To finish, as a coder, I try to understand how the graphic motor work. If I found something usefull to make a mod I'll warned you. Thx for the help another time |

| Use the console to start a map. To use a map you have made just put it in your mod's map folder and it will automatically be detected by the game. If you want the chapters to work you need to make some .cfg files like this... ![]() If you want to make life easy for youself just download another SP mod and copy them into your mod's cfg folder from the downloaded mod. |

| I try to get hlČ map to my map directory to play on this map in my mod to try my new weapon. But there are a problem. There ain't any .bsp or .map in the directory of hlČ! I don't understand why. The only one I found is in garry's mod, and I can get it by console but not by doing new game. When I will get the map from my mapper I'll try to make something that do that when I click new game I can play on the map. You say I just need make chapterX.cfg. But what should I code in this config file? And I just see that when you use the SDK you can go on the online help that can be usefull. Good luck for your mods all |

| In the chapterX.cfg it just has 'map' and the maps name. for example chapter1.cfg, when opened in notepad has Quote:
Quote:
No other coding is necacarry. ADDED: the reason there are no maps in the HL2 maps folder is because they are all stored in one of the .GCFs (X:\Steam\SteamApps) When you add your own maps you just need to put them in the folder and not the GCF. |
