The File is deprecated are just warnings and really you dont need to worry about them. The missing windows.h file is due to not having the Microsoft SDK from their site. If you dont already have them, you will need the Directx SDK and the Microsoft SDK since it has several files you will need.

hey, I made another smg, and in the script I changed it's primary ammo type to XBowBolt . But the gun still shoots regular bullets, what do I have to change with in it's .cpp ?

I just copied the crossbow .cpp for my boltgun. There are a few other files you need to change but its quite easy to work out.

The script refers to which ammunition type will be minused when you shoot it not what it shoots.

I got the autocrossbow to compile fine, but now when i try to run a map in the mod i get this...

Code:
Level unlit, setting 'mat_fullbright 1'
DataTable warning: No matching RecvTable for SendTable 'DT_AutoCrossbowBolt'.
 Client missing DT class CAutoCrossbowBolt
 Client missing DT class CWeaponAutoCross
 Host_EndGame: CL_ParseClassInfo_EndClasses: CreateDecoders failed.
I tried looking around the client side of things, and found some stuff but couldn't get it working.

:/

I dunno. Its not an easy gun to make. Take the time to get used to creating simple weapons before tackleing the crossbow.

do seaches for 'crossbow' and see what comes up. if it looks like it should be changed, change it.

Well I refuse to give up on the crossbow.. but I made a little progress, everything loads fine now, and I'm able to get the gun in game, it's jsut not auto matic..and when I shoot the gun..this happens...

But, the when the bolt hits the ground it looks normal..like this..

And hitting enemies works perfectly well too...

well, off to work again... ..btw if you got any tips on the big error image appearing plz tell.

i expect when you where searching/replaceing you changed the file path of the bolt model which is defined in the code.

like 'models/bowgunbolt' or something liek that.
