Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. They have a cop out; that list "includes," doesn't mean they have to list everyone. I do agree with you though, doesn't make a whole lot of sense to leave the UK offa that list now does it? |
Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. What subs does the UK have? |
Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. It seems awkward that India is technologically advanced while socially still backward. They sure got their priorities... :uhm: |
Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. Well, that's how poor nations can play with the big dogs. They must sacrifice something to get that good, and with over 1 billion people to take care of, it is easier to just ignore them and focus on competing with the rest of the world militarily(PRK) |
Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. The UK does not have any land based missiles. |

Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. As far as I know, since 1998, the United Kingdom only has one nuclear delivery system currently in its arsenal and that is the sea based Vanguard class ballistic missile submarines. So the article is right, the United Kingdom is technically no longer in the "elite group" but they are certainly capable of rejoining the group whenever they wish. However, using the criteria in this article France also does not fulfil the requirements to be in this "elite group" because they no longer have a land based nuclear component. |
Re: Hmmm...someone seems to be missing from the list. I guess the priority now is killing people rather than helping them, it certainly seems easier. Sad Mad World |
