btw. this is the book i'm talking about. Janusz Piekalkiewicz is a well known World War II historian, and i trust him more than most articles i can find on the internet...
Darn.. There's only used ones in Amazon.ca/Amazon.com .. I don't trust buying stuff from marketplaces

i personally think the churchill was best just for being british but the best tanks i think were the maus and and e100 but i dont think either were actually produced and were only prototypes and had to be destroyed before the russians got them google both of the tanks it you havnt seen them, theyre huge!

The E-100 was never even finished when the Alllies found it. Only the hull was partly finished.

In the English language we use periods "." to seperate thoughts. I suggest you use them as well...

The Ratte turret was finished, but was made into a defense gun along the Norwegian coast. The Maus completed several trials, but was destroyed. It is highly unlikely that it ever saw combat. And, if it did, all you would need to do to avoid one of its cannons was sidestep.

I think the germans should have gone further with the development of the panzer VII Lowe. 90 tons with 140 sloped frontal armour, 100mm side armour, 900hp engine and 88mm L71.
Would have been alot more usefull than the maus.

Neither would have been useful. The RAF, USAAC, and IVV (is that correct?) would have blown them up before they could fire a shot.

If anything the Germans should have made more Panzer IVGs, Panthers, and Jagdpanzer IV 70s

That's true.

But the Lowe could have been finished much earlier than the maus because development already started in 1941.

Germany should have never made the Tiger II's or Jagdtigers and should ahve went straight to the Panther II with the schmalturm mounting the 88mm L/71 or the 75mm L/100.

The Jagdpanther II was to have carried the 128mm Pak44. If the Panther II and Jagdpanther II had been given the 900hp engine as planned it would have made for a very nasty combination. To further complicate things for the Allies Germany was already combat testing IR nightfighting equipment which would have caused even more problems.

The PzIV could have stayed in production but increased front armor to 100mm and extended gun to 75mm L/60 for more velocity.

The German super heavies like teh Maus and larger designs were pointless. They had good armor abut lacked even acceptable mobility. They were in effect large targets.

Verry true.

But the problem with the panzer 4 was that it's chassis was already on i'ts maximum payload.
The chassis was designed to carry a maximum of 24-25 tons. That's why it's armour was never improved further.

The panther II would trully have been the best solution.
