What do you think of the new PSP Go ?

The new PSP Go will be released on October 1st, 2009. It will be 43% lighter than the previous model and blue tooth capable. It will also include 16 internal memory+expandable memory slot (no more UMD). I think it is a good move as I always found UMD quite slow. The games will be distributed digitally and also in UMD format.

What do you think of it ?

There are many hacks/mods out there that let PSP owners download and games into a memory stick already, which can currently hold 16 GB, so that certainly isn't new. But now one can do it legally . Not too thrilled about the PSP Go

I think its a complete jip to the PSP community.

Since the first PSP came out, there's been one continuous request from all the PSP users.

a second analogue nub.

its been years of development, several redesigns of the console, and yet Sony is still pushing the single nub approach.

second analogue nub + 2 more triggers + slight tech upgrade = PS2 game compatible hand-held.
The amount of sales this thing would have to the current PSP community alone...

The new psp just looks like a crappy rip off of the DS. Just get the regular PSPs.

I know about 2 people out of 20 who use legit games. The rest download. If the new PSP Go is unable to support ripped games, nobody would buy it. And why have 2 versions of the PSP selling at the same time? They should have made a PSP2 and make it completely different and better.

I think sony should give up on the PSP, and start from scratch. Make an all new handheld system, up the ante in terms of graphics, ADD A SECOND ANALOG STICK, more memory, backwards compatablity, etc.

If it did have 2 analog sticks they would have to redo every game so far to be compatible with it. So not likely for a while.

Amen to this. PSP can go so far if it had another analog stick. Also, maybe juicing up the CPU wouldn't hurt. For some slow loading games, 333 MHz isn't cutting it. Maybe if it's a little faster, we'll finally see oblivion on psp
