Ok so i have a legitimate copy of Halo PC and i just downloaded Halo CE. I know it should work because it did on two other computers, both XP. The new computer that i am using runs on vista, and the normal version of halo runs perfectly fine. However, when i start up CE, it shows the title screen for a while, and then the menu sounds start playing in the background, even though the title screen is still up. When i move my mouse, i can hear sounds like im passing my mouse over a icon, and it seems to function normally but i cannot see the menu screen or whatever it is that i am doing. I have all the updates required (the vista upgrade and the dedicated server fix and i have v1.07), but it wont load no matter what i try. I've tried reinstalling it and running it without the updates, but it doesn't seem to load. Please help me someone, anyone!

| Same thing happens to me! I'm running Vista with an 8500 GT, 3 GB RAM, and a Quad-Core AMD Phenom 1.8 GHz!

Don't fret, Vista users, for Noxstant is here to help. I have many friends whom have encountered the same frustation problem. The solution, however, is quite simple. Go to control panel and open graphics display, go to properties and set your graphics card to run according to the program being run instead of Vista defaults. With Vista defaults, older programs sometimes have MAJOR compatability issues. This obvious flaw is another reason why everyone should UPGRADE to Windows XP. I hope that helped, because it should. If it didn't you weren't in the instructed areas. If you need more help just post another post. See Ya!

There is nothing wrong with Vista, anyone with half a brain could figure out that. Vista works fine, it's just the users...

There is too!! VISTA EATS RAM ALIVE!!! HELLO? HAVE YOU NOT SEEN MICROSOFT NEWS LATELY? EVEN THEY ADMIT THAT VISTA IS AN EXTREME FAILURE. HOPEFULLY THEIR POORLY DEVICE DEBUGGING SKILLS WILL GET THE EFFICIENCY AND CAPACITY TO EVEN HALF OF WINDOWS XP. CLASS DISMISSED.

You are stupid. It's just people who don't buy new computers that are having problems. I got mine brand new from Walmart and it works fine. It's alot better then my crappy XP. IT DOES NOT "eat ram alive." Mine is steady at 1/3 of it's max (or less).

Steady at 1/3? are you serious? You must not run much of anything! Wait, why am I arguing with you about this? You probably don't know what RAM stands for or what its function is. And WALMART?!!? Seriously? why walmart? ALIENWARE TRANSCENDS TIME AND SPACE. (oh wait you probably don't know what that means either) (SEE Theory of relativity by Einstein)
