Aw man... Oh well. My grfx card isn't good enough to support halo 2. Looks like I'll have to wait until I get a new computer. Thanks mileso and everybody for all the help!

Hm, i found a fix for myself actually. I had forgotten to fit in the mdf.dll file into the c:\windows\system32 map, but I don't know for sure if this actually made the whole game work. Here's the situation. I started the game but had simultaneously started MSN messenger (by accident). The screen snapped back to the deskop while Halo 2 was loading. It didn't crash when i clicked it to full screen either and I was able to play it without further hinderance or errors. So it might be that this fix will work for you too, however, it could also be the mdf.dll file. Good luck, and thanks for the help .Yours Sincere, GVR

abcba please help out: what do I do with those dll's and the loader.exe? i can't write them on my dvd,so i copied everything on the dvd to a remote place on my hard drive.but when I click on the loader (wich I tried in and outside of that folder) I get a weird error: "C:\Documents and settings\Thor\Desktop\Loader.exe The application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." Since my system is over the minimum required by the game (barely) I can only ask myself what else is wrong.I have Windows XP Media Center edition (downgraded all the unnecesary crap to XP classic),1GB RAM,256 RAM nVidia card over 6000 (6150 actually),30+ GB free space. So...what do I do?Anyone has any ideas? I mean...I even bought Vista Ultimate, but I ran dual boot, and couldn't install my nvidia drivers due to the OEM idiocracy of windows XP.And I don't want to give up on windws XP no matter what.
