Default Saved Games

Hey guys, does anyone have any idea where the saved games are? I mean all the files necessary to play at a different computer. Since this is installed on windows XP I'm guessing files are going to different directories.
Thanks.

I followed gospel_virus' advice and it did nothing. When I run the loader the cmd black box appears for a couple of seconds then disappears. Please help...

Thanks!

Argh! Once the game updates itself, my sound quits working, and I still get the flicker issues. On top of that, after completing Cairo Station the game prompts me for the disc (and I already successfully activated over LIVE - my copy is legit). For now I think I'm going to wipe XP and dedicate 100% of my hard drive to OS X. Hopefully loader.exe will soon develop a little more, or Falling Leaf Systems will amaze us. It's been fun guys, best of luck getting it to work. I'll monitor the forum and help out where I can, but I'm going to sit out the actual implementation until more conclusive results come in.

P.S. Thanks for all the hard work, abcba.

Do a system-wide search for "halo 2." There should be stuff in [username]/Application Data, [username]/Local Settings/Application Data, [username]/My Games, .../All Users/Application Data, .../All Users/Local Settings/Application Data. There's also a crapload of keys in the registry, but don't get delete-happy there :-) Make sure you know what you're doing...

P.S. I know the slashes are backwards and I'm not specifying everything from the root of the drive, but I'm feeling lazy/UNIXy.

i get this even after i delete it out the registry, and it doesn't even let me do a reinstall or uninstall, i can only choose play and install, which doesn't let me load the SP maps

I got an idea, anyone who reads this topic and has the game running correctly, this is very big but it will work and its 100% Legal. I want whoever volunteers to .zip their entire maps folder. And upload it to filefront, this is legal because your only uploading the maps. not the entire game which we don't need. If anyone can do this you will be greatly appreciated. The SP maps wont load because they're not decompressed, unless theres a decompresser that can decompress .dtz files. So anyone up for it?

I don't think that is legal. Piracy is bad, it hurts the game developers more than you think. Just buy the game, and take the maps off of the DVD.

I found a way to do it, rip the .dtz files off the CD and rename them to .map files, it loads now, should for you too
