Run Halo 2 on XP

How can I activate halo2 without my key?
I tried more keys,but no of them works.

Halo 2 installs fine and everything on both of my xp computers with your loader. Both of these computers played halo 2 when Vista was installed. I unistalled vista and went back to the factory XP versions. Halo2.exe will startup, but I have to kill the process, because it locks up. Both of my computers have ATI Cards (Both different). Maybe the problem I and a lot of other people are having have to do with ATI Radeon drivers.

sorry not me - im nvidia im afraid.
but i have tested all my software by turning it all off (killing the processes).
so it has to be a driver.

I've also just reinstalled windows myself as i was just on vista a couple of days ago so i dont know what would be conflicting with the system..
I only have 3 processes running when im out of game and in the task manager so i reckon its still a pretty clean install of windows..

The game runs fine, but I can't the activator to work. Calling the activate.exe file results in an error.

Using the latest version with the tracelog.

when I run the loader under command prompt I get "the system cannot execute the specified program" When I try to run the loader directly, i get "this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." Any help would be appreciated! I'm at wsvg in lousville and i'd love to join in on some halo 2 action! (but I have xp : / )

Mononoke82, I had the same problem. Install microsoft.net framework, that should fix your problem.

All the log tells me is that it fails shortly after the intro movie was supposed to be played.
From that point till the next visual point, the game has to initialize the various directx components.
Did any of you install the version of directx included on the DVD?
It would also be useful to know what sound card, keyboard, mouse and gamepad you all have.
Im thinking you must have something in common, since the game crashes at the same address.
