CE closes every 5 minutes
 

the title says it all
ive had CE before coldsnap was released
everything has been working fine
about an hour ago, i started up halo and it kept minimizing to the taskbar every 5 or so minutes
to my surprise, theres so exception error or anything
i just have to bring it up
ive tried everything i can
if you have any advice, plz let me know

Sounds to me like some other program interfering with it. Do you have any instant message clients open, like AIM or MSN? Those sometimes force other applications to minimize in order to show a message. Try closing all of those. If not, it may be some sort of spyware program.

i dont think it can be spyware
i have mcafee, spy sweeper, norton, and trend micro
i have yahoo IM and xfire (of course)
this is really starting to piss me off

right click the .exe file
change compatability to Windows 2000.
hopefully that should work.
if not, keep this topic updated and il look more thoroughly into the problem.

I recommend shutting off Yahoo and Xfire. It may be a Direct X issue of some sort, with Xfire interfering with Halo. That's happened to me before.
