Default a FS2SCP halo space sim MOD?

Hello to all, newcommer broadwing here:

I was actually wondering if any of you in the halo communities were considering a teamup with the FS SCP team at hard light in order to create a speca sim MOD in the halo time line? I think that since the initial try of devrous/causality (which unfortunately resulted in them going AWOL) nobody has given thought to extended halo space combat, yet when we see the awe inspiring beauty of the covenant ships like the carrier, it would be a waste not to try... Also, while bringing the HALo stories under a new angle, it might open up one more universe to the space sim community gamers...

Might anyone be interested in applying or giving insight/ship models?

Well as I said, precedent attempts have been made under the freespace 2 SCP engine: as it's one of the most comprehensive and flexible space sim engine ever made!

Mods include starfox, battlestar galactica, babylon 5 etc... conversions, and we were thinking about the possibility of a HALO TC focussing on space combat between the terrans and covenants (and possibly that mysterious race I can't remember)...

Is that clearer?

Yeah. Well I don't know about that engine, but if you say it's that flexible, that would be pretty easy. I think Halomaps has some covenant cruiser tags, and if you want, I can pull the models from them and give them to you in .max or whatever.

That is, if you don't know how to do that yourself.

Well actually, on of the first things I would really need is comprehensive info on the fleets and ship stats... if I recall well, the covenant carrier is the biggest unit right?

Also, while devrous and causality went AWOL, so did the files they started to work with: here's an example:

First of all, we would like to find persons in HALO communities who would be interested in the space combat element of HALO also, in order to help us with that MOD...

Halo in space is an interesting concept, that I thought about before, but never put alot of thought in. I think the gameplay might be hard to balence, since the longsword pwns, and covenent spacecraft have shields, and are alot biger. The major problem would be balencing. oh, the covent assaultcarrier, is the largest craft, but way over shadows even a marathon class cruiser(one of the UNSC's biggest ships).

Halopedia has alot of info on every random bit you could want.

I'm interested in this Idea, how do I get a hold of Freespace, and how do I mod it?
