Anyways, back on topic, just a thought. Imagine the SPECS for a game like Halo 3 PC. Prob a 6800 GT or X800 XT would be MINIMUM. It would also prob need a Min 3.4 GHz (or equivalent), and 1 Gig of RAM just to run smoothly.

I got drawn to this thread from an internet search, and subsequently signed up, I don't care if i get banned for bumping, but i seriously cannot sit back while retards make comments about shit they don't know.

1. Halo 2 was released so long after the original xbox release because Micro$oft was using Halo 2 as a trump card to draw people over to 'the dark side' of Vista. So if a Halo 3 release is coming it will either come out soon or co-incide with a Windows 7 release.

2. The system requirements of a game like Halo 3 on PC will NOT require a physics processing card. What physics are there to process?

3. DirectX 10 is not needed for Halo 3 on PC. It's physically impossible. The xbox 360 doesn't even have Directx 10 capabilities.

Actually just ban me for a first post bump, but i feel much better now because of saying that. Ban away.

Crytek was right not releasing Crysis first for consoles...but now they dicided to do it so...soon.

1.I didn't buy Vista...I got a really small programm to install and play it.

2.Halo3 has lower requirements than Crysis! I can see that only from the graphics in the game and the effects.

3.DirectX10 is only from them to get more money because you have to buy Vista an a DX10 card...-.- I think you could use DX10 with normals cards, too, if it wouldn't needs so much performance! It really works, but only with Vista...an soon DX11 is comeing which would be only compatible with newer DXcards....so you could throw the new Nvidia Geforce 9800GX2 for more than ca.300€ away (ca. 500$)...

Shit they don't know...I felt like posting here because "Vista" isn't the dark side. Most people who upgrade just have problems afterwards BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEMS WEREN'T BUILT FOR VISTA. Either that, or they just don't like the interface and don't want to give any time to get used to it. Very impatient...Anyway, on-topic, Microsoft could probably make a bunch of money off Halo 3 for the PC if they actually worked to optimize it for the PC. Halo 2...seemed like a badly ported game with slightly higher rez textures. They did okay with Halo Combat Evolved.
