As for ep3 being the end of the Half Life series, impossible, they would be ending their biggest money making game ever, and they would get thousands of angry e-mails. And as for Adrian, he may end up in Ep3 or HL3, due to the fact that G-man is being subdued by the vortigaunts, so he may have escaped G-man. Here is what I want in Ep3: 1. Fighting race X, and finding out what happened to them after HL1. 2. The very high posibility of having the portal gun in Ep3, due to the fact that A.S. made it. And they made the borialis, too. 3. NEW WEAPONS, like a combine pulse gun, that shoots a mini-version of the strider-gun (the big lazer cannon). Or a compactor, that picks up enemies with a gravity gun like efect, then compacts them in midair, and flings them so fast that it disolves them. And also to bring back some of the old removed weapons, like the combine guard gun (and hopefully the combine guard). 4. New enemies, like a Combine Flincher, for cleaning out enemies. It will have four legs, with a rather strider like appearance, it will be bigger and stronger than the strider, and faster, but, it has no guns, just huge tentacles extending from the top of it. They would grab you, and fling you 50 feet into the air. Or a combine unit that is designed spesificaly to kill Gordon, (they would have known his tactics by now.) by using stealth to kill him. They would stray from their usual brute force to kill him. Or maybe Valve should bring back older enemies, like the Combine Guard, or Creamator (they would be redesigned to fit the HL2 storyline, and alyx would finaly know what she found and put in a jar in HL2.) 5. Visit the Wasteland, and finaly figure out where the children born just before the combine took over the planet (a child is born every 2-4 seconts, imagine how many children were born during the 7 hour war? and since its been 10 years since the combine took over *confirmed date*, all of them would be 10. And that means that alyx would have to be 18-20 years old. *The photo in Eli's lab could have been taken when alyx was very young*) They could be anywhere, fighting for survival. The wasteland was a place mentioned in HL2:Raising the bar, that used to be the seafloor, before the combined drained most of the sea. It was said to be littered with hundreds of ships and junk. We get a short look at it in HL2, in kliener's lab, in the first teleporter sequence (the place with the crows and a lot of dirt and sand.) How did I write all that? Wow. Oh yeah, and they cant kill off Gordon, impossible.

Oh, and when did they get conquered? Was it at the end of Oposing Force, or Half Life 1? I can't remember. Did G-man tell us?

Besides I don't think that valve would do that because I think they will have two separate games to maximize profits. as for race X, you find out they were conquered when the GMAN is talking to you at the end of HL1, he mentions that there was a strong military effort,, and fierce fight, but at last resulted in the US victory.

| Oh, ok, now I know what happened to Race X, thanks. But, what if you could use the portal gun as a weapon, as well as a puzzle solving device? We dont know what would happen if we shot anything other than a wall. What about shooting combine? It might kill them instantly, or dizzolve them, or teleport them... we just dont know. Imagine the possibilities? Shooting a combine with the portal gun, and it flies out the end of another portal, and desintigrates in mid air due to being shot DIRECTLY by the portal? Even if its not in EP3, it will still be mentioned. And Chell will probably be involved in EP3 too.

| I think Valve will eventually bring portals into the Half-Life series. Not always as a puzzle element, but like the way Valve made physics such an awesome part of games and also a factor of games, they will take it the next level of physics. I may be mistaken, but I think Valve actually mentioned doing this in Half-Life eventually. I think it would still be smart of Valve to continue creating portal games, at least a sequel for now, to let the innovation grow. But eventually bringing portals to Half-Life would be the next big physics creation and since Valve knows how to make games so well they will not just make it a burden that players are forced into constantly using. It would just be a supremely useful tool at times, like the gravity gun. You don't always have to use it in combat, but Valve shows players how to do so and then lets them make the choice, in most cases. It might not be the best idea when it comes to shooting your enemies with portals, but laying traps and conquering battlefields in a newly unique fashion. You can flank in a new way, get grenades into hard to reach areas, surprise your enemies by suddenly appearing behind them. All of these are really cool possibilities, and plenty of players will come up with more since games run like that. Of course, the idea of using portals in the Half-Life world would mean that new restrictions would have to be used with surfaces (like the way you cannot shoot the turrets in Portal, so I don't imaging us being able to shoot Combine soldiers). Cliffs and rocky surfaces are not flat, so shooting those surfaces may not always be possible. Creating maps with all of these possibilities and also choosing what is possible and what is not takes plenty of time. Valve already has to think about objects useable by the gravity gun, and thinking of where to put these in a map. So throwing in portals makes a third combat design they have to think over every time they make a map. (1. Plain out fighting with walls and objects for cover. 2. Applying the gravity gun in the fight with useable objects for cover, manipulation of the environment, and destroyable objects that can be manipulated for cover or fighting. 3. Portals and the surfaces they can or cannot be used on. This may even change the textures covering certain buildings) So portals coming into Episode Three, I do not see. But I think in the future we will be seing the concept of portals and the portal gun eventually making its way into the Half-Life universe besides just Aperture Science and the game Portal. And I would really like to see it honestly. Not right now, its too soon, and Valve needs time to work on something like that. So for now I would be content with just Episode Three on its own, but I'm sure they'll be throwing in Portal 2.

| I'm sorry. I will will be very upset if valve ever integrated the two games. I want to be shooting things with machine guns and stapling things to walls with crossbows. If they implement the portal gun a; the game will have to almost be based around the fact that you are using it to get any use from it. b; as mentioned in my previous post, it will make the game feel less and less like half-life for reasons stated in that post. c; the game would be much more puzzle based instead of action. Bad. Im not going to buy a sequel to a puzzle based game. In my opinion, solving puzzles just isn't fun. Portal gun in HL, terrible idea. Keep the two separate so that the people who like action can still get that without having to do too much puzzle solving and the people who like puzzle solving can play entirely puzzle games. Besides, valve can reap the benefits of a double profit if they have a separate portal game, as it was be successful enough to make a sequel that could even more successful than the fist.
