Ritual was bought by a 'casual games' developer quite some time ago, and it appears highly unlikely that there will be any further SiN episodes. It had nothing to do with episodic content being a failure in some way (although Emergence WAS a big disappointment compared to the original SiN...).

Hmm... What would I like to see?

1. Aiming with all guns - It is not that hard to bring it up too aim and fire!
2. Better A.I - It's good at the moment but I would like them to be a bit smarter.
3. Bigger battles - Huge Street or landscape battles with the rebels and the combine.
4. Less shock more action - I get fed up of looking for power generators in the dark while I get attacked by Zombies who somehow know where I am.
5. Less being on your own, more group work – I’ve always been a fan of the Call of Duty games, and although Gordon is hard as nails, he is not that hard in my opinion

I would also like most of the story line come into place, I haven’t played Half Life One or any of the expansions but reading from Wikipedia I would like certain things to come together, maybe G-man release that ex-army soldier from sleeping and goes to aid Freeman and Alyx (could the army guy talk by the way?) Or maybe have certain areas where one minute you're Gordon and then let’s say you get cut off and the next minute you’re the army guy.

Perhaps more destructible terrain and more realistic tanks. Seriously, the Combine armoured cars are a joke and I think not all their flying units and tanks could just be aliens with metal on them. Maybe in Episode three it could show the rise of the humans which increased production and a proper military structure with tanks and weapons.

I would also like to meet up with the android from Portal and you work together and I hope she can talk, having personalities like a human (of course you and Alyx won’t know she was an android!) and she brings out the Portal gun to come of aid at getting through trapped entrances

I couldn't agree more, but I don't think that they will change something a crucial as that at the last minute (that they could have easily done before) I don't think we'll see that until possibly HL3. If valve wanted to do it they would have done it

I think we're all about fed up with the accomplish simple goal wile zombies attack you thing that we've experienced over and over. I want more gun fights.

Oh no, same here. But you know at the end of Portal one that that Andriod does survive and possibly appears in City 17. So it would be awesome if you met up with her with some rebels.

If you're talking about Glados, I doubt we'll see her or the events in Portal happening in Half-Life 2 Episode Thee. Though it may happen, the idea of Portal was to establish a second world in Half-Life. Aperture Science was given a background with Portal so players may understand more about Aperture Science when they saw the logo on the Borealis. In a commentary, it was mentioned that Portal tells a simple story. And it really just introduces the player to this place instead of immediately putting what we played through into the game. This may happen later, like if Portal 2 became a backstory to Episode Three or the reason it disappeared because it is more likely players have played Portal 1 and so they therefore have a good understanding of both Aperture Science and the Portal technology. You know what I mean?

I'm really just going to leave what happens in ep3 to Valve, they're yet to release a substandard game yet and I trust them to make a game which fulfills out expectations entirely.

As for what they should bundle with ep3? Well I think they should just throw in DoD:S and HL:S,and maybe Gmod 10, and sell it for $30. If not we'll see what they do, maybe portal 2 .

To the Shepard thing, remember Opposing Force was just an expansion made by Gearbox Studios, not Valve. Shepard was pretty obviously taken out of the entire storyline by Gman,as he took no part of the HL1 storyline. I know you guys liked Opposing Force and all, but you gotta realise there's no hope for Shepard, just forget about adding him to the story and move on.

I think I agree with you on nearly every field. There may be an idea or two that I would like to see in Episoe Three but honestly I think nothing can be better than the way Valve will wind up doing it. They've had continual excellence since Half-Life 1, so I don't think I'll leave Episode Three disappointed, just like Episode Two, and Episode One, and Half-Life 2...

About the only thing I can imagine wanting would be Portal 2, and I really think Valve is going to be doing that anyways so I don't think we'll have to worry about that.
