It simply means that they're offering extended demos of Half-Life 2 with content otherwise only available in the full game, for short ammount of time, for Intel Core Duo owners.

Actaully it looks like this sort of demo was added to my Steam games list after I clicked on the option to add it on the page you provided a link to. It only has HL2 icon, and has absolutely no information, excpet for having all HL2 characteristics in openable menus after right-clicking on it. When it's runned, it simply same HL2 with all my saves from original with absolutely no changes.

I have no idea why I had that addded though, not only do I have HL2, but also I have AMD double core cpu, not Intel's.

Well I though it was a tech demo for the Core 2 cpus.
can you get someone with a core 2 to try it out?

I wanted to get a low end Core 2 but sadly my mother board dosent support it, and I don't want to go through all the hastlel of reinstalling Windows installing a new mobo. So I'm pretty much stuck with a P4 :/

The additional avialable game which I mentioned dissappeares as soon as you restart Steam.

As for the cpu, I don't know, Intel is sinisterly using Half-Life 2: Episode Two logos and screens in it's little clickable advertisements on FileFront and it's main site, but as soon as you go to the steampowered website responsible for the thing, they are talking about Half-Life 2 content.

Yes, it also could be a tech demo, but I heavily doubt that they could accomplish it so quickly, additionally the temporary availability suggests that it's just a bigger part of the main hl2 game, because why else would they keep it away from user's reach?
They cannot border their product availability, even not directly purchasable, to owners of only one certain type of hardware. I'm happy with my Athlon 64x X2 4800+, I don't realy care about current Intel models, as it's their rise after many unsuccesful products. Additionally, when actaully some tech demo or Episode Two itself comes out, there will be quad core cpus available which Valve is already suggesting as the best hardware for their future productions.
Finally, my cpu is worse than new best Intel models, but why should I care if the performance difference is not noticable for normal human being?

As I said, I bet it's just an extended demo of Half-Life 2.

My intel P4 is a old POS buy now lol. So I'm ineed of a new cpu.

Heare are my theorys:
I'm thinking ethire it's got new content not seen in the full HL 2 game like HL Uplink was or it could be a small tech demo showing off what the source can do with a Core 2.
or it could be it's just some hype that is only a extended demo like you said.

We would never know for sure snice nethire one of us has got a Core 2. Unless you can find someone that dose have that CPU...

Yeah, but I still don't belive that they would create exclusive, as always interesting content, exclusively to owners of only certain manufacturer's hardware, although it's supposed to be showing off teh technologie which is supported by other cpus too.
