Help! Huge Fonts On Max Resolution

I have a 19 inch screen, and my pc kicks enough ass ( ge force 6600 gt oc ) to play on max graphics, and max resolution.
but on max resolution, the font gets unproportionaly big and gross. same with dod.
it blocks a lot of the screen.
please help.
