Well its even worth buying Bronze Pack or the Retail DvD version. Even though half-life 2 itself isnt THAT great in my opinion but the ENGINE certainly is. There gonn' be a huge amount of mods and thats certainly why I bought it.

Half Life 2 itself isnt that good online (Deathmatch, CTF)... But the mods are amazing especially Natural Selection!! and CS Source is just amazing... 2rooms WHAT A MAP!!! :p

nah u can have tons of fun with CTF and Deathmatch but no doubt the mods are what making it worth to buy. CTF is a 3rd mod though ;)

Well personally i think (& i no a lot of other people hu think the same) that HL Deathmatch & CTF suck badly, they are 2 slow as for the Story mode of HL2... well i wouldnt no as i hav only played online at a friends house, but i will no wen i get my new pc:)

In answer to the question, yes it is worth the money... i would pay £20 just for Natural Selection & The Specialist :)

Maybe he means getting them for Half Life 1 which is part of the silver pack...
