Half Life 2 Delayed.......... Again

it says that HL2 is delayed to 24 of september of 2004.
i have lost all my expectations from Hl2 and Valve. im really furious :furious: :furious: :furious: , after i bought really expensive hardware last year so i could play it. Also, when Hl2 be out, it will be just another game, because the DX9 games will be common.
I dont care about HL2 any more, now i wait for Doom 3.

nobody listened to me when I said don't upgrade before the game comes out.......

However I shall wait for other proof as yet. If it's september Valve can go to hell, I have better things to do with my time than endorse an unreliable game.

well its only delayed for coders to help nVidia GPU's perform better but y thay cant just make a patch for it i dont realy understand if it need a re workt of the GFX Engine it might be to big to have as a patch and vlave can realy make 2 versions of the game one for ait one for nvidia

but y did valve not add it at the same time as ait i dont know seems realy stupid but we got to lear to live wiht it

I can't find any place with official news about this... All I find is "I got a letter from whoever..."
And on 3 different sites, the new release date is different. I think it's just an hoax.

I lost faith in this game along time ago, if this delay is true it comes to me as no supprise. There is some good looking games due out this year. Games that will come out.

I will tel you guys why the game is coming out spetember, because they want money, why not wait till christmas time, in august they will say it will be released november and then everyone will want it for christmas. What friggin joke, i am suspicious of their story about their code being stolen too. Maybe they just needed more time. Well all i am gonna say is that this better be one damn good game cause they are gonna get flamed till whenever the game comes out.

I don't know why you'd believe gabe, after all, he doesn't seem Mr. Trustworthy to me. Anyhow, if Valve bother reading this they are either....

a) Clever enough to know that most people will go out and buy the game WHENEVER it comes out.

b) Thick as two short planks.

-ironass HL2 and DOOM3 are sopposed to be coming out the same week. But I've see at Wal-Marts site that their getting it on April 2nd.

I recently bought (2 days ago) an ATI 9600 with the coupon for Half-life 2 included. I have just read that the game isn't due until May, which seems a bit long given the hype about it. Valve needs to get on the ball.

Advertisement is a big deal nowadays. Most people want to hear about something RIGHT before it comes out. If the time isn't right people will get bored of the game and in their tiring wait, seek out new things (Doom3, which I have reserved also).

I have faith in Valve, but this could be the beginning of their end if they eventually cut HL2 from production.
Is it even STILL underproduction? For some reason, a part of me says they are keeping from us to make us wait just a little longer so they can gain a little more profit.

What's your take?

I sure hope that isn't true, but after all the delays so far, it's very possible. Why can't they just make game developing similare to construction such as, if the developers go over the due date for the game, the producers start charging them every day its late, I'm sure everyone would have worked a lot harder had it been this way.

The HL2 source code theft is true.

Its actually boxed and on sale in russia.
I've already emailed valve about it, but theres some semi-complete levels in it.
Very few of the game sounds are.
The E3 stuff from the videos is there in a basic form.
but lacks most of the AI.

So Valve werent lieing about the theft.
This extra delay however is sad to see if its true.

im furious, being the creator of a hl2 mod.

i do however beileve they laied to us from day 1.

being really vague here

i know of a person who got his/her hands on the leaked copy of hl2.

he/she says the spots avalaible were pre PRE alpha. shaders missing, lighting screwing up, buildings that you could walk right through, some guns were bugged and some crashed the game when you pulled the trigger. plus all the characters in the game were scripted 100%

im glade i didn't see this with my own eyes, i would be more pissed off then i am now if i had gotten ahold of it. didn't want to get sued or arrested so i kept away from it.

What I meant is that for now on I will only believe official announcements. The only time it really was delayed was September of 2003 and I don't know why. The reason it didnt come out in December or November was because it was stolen. And I still don't believe September of 2004 because Valve hasn't said anything yet.

dude, although i haven't really played the first half life, the second is looking so sweet. i wanna play it SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. that'll be soo gay if it's delayed until next september when it was due this last september.
