..i need help....PLEASE!!!!!!!

I'm trying to play gearbox on gamespy but everytime i log on it tells me that my client is wrong..... It worked about 3 months ago and i dont know whats wrong now..
Where can a get a new client or whatever it is that i need... it said something like i have a (42) and need a (40)?????? HELP!!

Run the opforup.exe in the HL directory included in HL 1.1.0.0.
