Cheats

I have managed to get myself stuck at the end with almost no life and a sniper that I can't get rid of. But I can't get any of the cheats to work at all.
I have tried everything Can someone help

if you already have the console on, then type in sv_cheats 1 and theyll work thats what i had 2 do on mine. peace out
